Fate of Bf 110 C Wk Nr 1369
This ac flew with 1/ZG 76 1940 coded M8+CH but was replaced by the Bf 110 D Wk Nr 3155 (which was lost 15 Aug 40). Has anyone any note of anything happening to Wk Nr 1369 post-1/ZG 76?

Re: Fate of Bf 110 C Wk Nr 1369
Chris,
In our discussions about this aircraft, M8+CH, you cite the W.Nr. of 1369, but if you look closely at the photo that you sent me the correct W.Nr. is 1365. Regards, |

Agreed 1365-should have scanned and zoomed in !

Re: Fate of Bf 110 C Wk Nr 1369
Not sure what your asking... is it the ac's record before joining ZG76 ? you write post-1./ZG76.
Anyway I would look into early 1940 in scandinavia especially Norway and ZG76 clashes with Gladiators and maybe a long shot but.... wich 110 was Obl. Werner Hansen's ac at that time..... could be his. Kind regards Nick |
Re: Fate of Bf 110 C Wk Nr 1369
Nick: You are correct-I am only trying to find out its eventual fate. It was the personal ac of Oblt Hans-Ulrich Kettling, a close friend of mine, and I am trying to find out if anyone knows what happened to it after he switched to the Dackelbauch Wk Nr 3155 (whose fate we do know)

Re: Fate of Bf 110 C Wk Nr 1369
Hello Chris and Larry
Though my Bf110 has 5149 records at the moment, unfortunately 1365 was not recorded yet... First of all thanks for this new one and please don't hesitate to ask whenever other such questions come up. We discussed 3155 quite some time ago, when we wrote about Kettling. All the best, Marcel Hogenhuis |
