Re: Boeing B.17GSH
Hello,
Thanks for details re serial number of the B17. I see that she was one of the original 12 H2X equipt a/c that had the scanner under the nose. Serials were- 42-3483...MI-A 42-3484...MI-B 42-3485...MI-C 42-3486...MI-D...MIA 11.01.44 42-3487...MI-E 42-3490...MI-F...MIA 21.06.44 42-3491...MI-G...MIA 06.03.44 42-3492...MI-H 42-3500...MI-J...MIA 04.02.44 42-3511...MI-K 42-30280...MI-L...MIA 22.02.44 42-37745...MI-M Details from The Mighty Eioghth War Manual, by Freeman. I would suggest that the "G" is the a/c letter while the "SH" refers to the "H2X". Alex |
