Please Be Gentle. First Post From......

a newby on this board. I followed a link here from another site and it looks like maybe all the expertise I need is right here.
The FIRST big question I have: How many different engines did the FW190 and Ta152 use ?? Sub-question: Were they all radials or were some of them inline engines ??
I've read various warbird books and, invariably, the author will make a bald claim that all FW190's used a radial engine.....or, conversely, they all used an inline engine with a circular rad.
Please...can someone sort this out for me ?? Or at least point me in the right direction....
Thanks for any light anyone can shed on this niggling PITA-type question.

You might look up this article:

Seems to be a nice general overview answering your questions.

Many thanks, Ruy. That's a great site and sorts out all the confusion about a lot of other FW190 questions I had, besides the engine questions. Again, my thanks for the link.

Hello!

The first versions of the Fw 190 (A, G and F) uses the radial BMW 801 engine.
The Fw 190 D had the Jumo 213 inline engine with radial cooler.
The Ta 152 H had the inline DB engine.
The other variant were mostly prototyps with different engines.

Dirk

Dirk, the 152H used a Jumo213 engine. The 152C used a DB603 engine.
