Video: Philipp, Ubben and Ostermann
 

Hi,

I found this video of Deutsche Wochenschau, showing Hans Philipp, Kurt Ubben and Max-Helmuth Ostermann receiving their awards from Hitler, on 19.03.1942. There is a nice sequence of dogfight with Philipp in Eastern Front.

Great Clip. I loved the scene where Phillip blows one of his mechanics and his sled across the snow with the prop wash of his 109!!!

My understanding is that clips are left on YouTube for only 9 months. Is there a way to download these clips?

When using FIrefox, there can be installed an appelt to DL and later watch these videos.

Rob,

a google search will bring up the site 'download youtube videos.com' - or something like that ...enabling you to save the video as an .FLV file for which you will need a player..

however capturing screen shots requires no special software...and the videos themselves are easy to embed on a web page...

Hi,

I know these images through a collection of eight ribbons VHS "Die Deutschen Luftwaffe." In the ribbon 1 we found this and many other excellent images of the great German aces. These images are much better of the these shown by You Tube.

You can download and play YouTube and Google video clips for free. No purchases required, but you do need to download a video player.

You'll also find links there for downloading free FLV (flash video) players and converters. It's straightforward and convenient once you get the hang of it.
