Re: Photos 2-6
Hi Ed!
Have to correct my latest post. The picture is new! Position of the pilots and their head positions is a little bit different to a picture that was made from the same angle. Sorry, I wrote from memory, but now I had time to compare with the pictures I have. Cheers, Simon |
Re: Photos 2-6
Hello,
Nice findings Ed, again! Thanks! The FW190 F-8s, all together 17 photos from the same seller, with the caption "Karlsdorf, Banat 1944" could all be from the 13./SG151 which was stationed in the Banat area during September/October 1944. cheers, Tom |
Re: Photos 2-6
Hello,
The Bf109 in the photo with the pilot in cockpit seems like a Bf109T. Check the supercharger intake. And, the photo showing the tail with kill markings and weeping raven badge can be Hptm. Horst Tietzen's Bf109E "Black 1". He was the Staffelkapitan of 5./JG 51. Dear Ed, Thank you for the links you are posting and all your efforts in finding them. Batur |
Re: Photos 2-6
Hi Batur
Not only the T-planes have this supercharger, some old Emils became in there long life this part. Greetings Christian |
