4./NJG100 victories for 27Mar44

The night of 26-27Mar44 in the area of Tallin the 4./NJG100 intercepted 1 GMTAP. Lt Klaus Scheer shot down a DB-3 (Il-4) and Hptm Theodor Bellinghausen shot down a DB-3 (Il-4). There was one other Il-4 shot down but Tony Woods list only has the above two. Does anyone know who shot down the 3rd?

Hello!

Nokose, do you have times for the Il-4 shoot downs?

4./NJG 100 flights from Tallinn were also reported to Finns and I do have alltogether five Ju 88 flights for period from Mar 26 19:15 to Mar 27 01:00. Take-off times are Finnish time, add 1 hour for Moscow time.

It looks like two of the flights were guided by radar ship Togo (around Kallbodagrund shallows, Gulf of Finland), one by Celebes II radar (near Kuusalu, Estonia) and two by Celebes III radar (near Kunda, Estonia). Approximate shoot down area might help to solve the case too.

PS

Luftflotte 1 Luftlagemeldungen for nachts 26./27.3. gives:
"Nachteinsatz der Jäger: 9 Nachtjäger"
and
"... Nachjäger: 2 Feindflugzeuge (Raum Armeegr. Narwa) abgeschossen."

Have you checked Finnish Air Force and AAA claims? I don't have them handy here at work.

I / NJG 100 flew from Dno at the time, IIRC, rest four night fighter missions might have been by them ( I Gruppe).

Kari, Sorry the Russian site I found these on didn't give times just dates and the unit that shot them down. The places that the translation program spit out was two for region of Tallin and one "Finn. hall". I was interested in who got the third as this site seemed to know which unit had shot them down.

All times are GMT +2. The time now is 04:39.
