Flettner Fl 282 Kolibri

I read this post on another board, and wondered if anyone had seen or has any access to any photos of this -

"Flettner also demonstrated that the little craft could land on a ship, even in heavy seas. Naval leaders were impressed and, in 1940, ordered several dozen of the craft with the clear intention of mass-producing them. Allied bombing ended production efforts, but 24 of the aircraft still entered service, with a number of them being used for escort service, flying off the gun turrets of ships to spot submarines, and performing resupply missions even in poor weather conditions. "

Thanks to anyone who can help me out with some Kolibri naval photos!

Re: Flettner Fl 282 Kolibri

There are some nice naval pictures of the Fl 282 V6 GF+YF in the book "German Helicopters 1930 - 1945" by Steve Coates.
Hope this helps

Also in the "Flettner Fl 282" in the Luftwaffe Profile Series, No. 6, you'll find some photos, perhaps the same mentioned by Fritz. Anyway, it was published by Schiffer in 1996, ISBN: 0-88740-921-0.

Greetings
Hans
