Oberkommando der Luftwaffe Inspectorates

According to Michael Holm, in addition to the 9 Directorates (and were there more?), there were 16 inspectorates which dealt with specific flying areas. What were these 16 and which notables headed them? For example, Oberst Werner Moelders became 'Inspekteur der Jagdflieger' 7 Aug 41-was this the date it was first created?

Re: Oberkommando der Luftwaffe Inspectorates

Hello Chris,

Inspekteur der Jagdflieger was created before Mölders held that post as from August 41;from Dec 40 till Aug 41 it was Kurt-Bertram von Döring. Whilst searching on Google I found Von Greim in 1935 and also Loerzer in 1938 -

Hope this helps..

Regards
Rob
