Verbindungsstaffel 70

From the excellent web site of Michael Holm, I learned that Verbindungsstaffel70 was formed in June 1941, at Jassy, Rumania, for operations over the Southern Front. Aircraft used: Ar 66, Bf 108, Bf 109, Bf 110, Fi 156, Fw 58 and Kl 35.

What was the actual role and activity of this Staffel, using such a motley of aircraft types? Any further details on this unit?
