Can anyone tell me the eventual fates of or does anyone have the combat reports of the following who claimed He 111s of II/KG 53 on 28 Aug 44:

Capt Paul Conger & 2/Lt James Jure, 61 FS
2/Lt Walter Groce, 63 FS
1/Lt Donald Mercier 343 FS
Lt Col Kenneth Gallup & 2/Lt John Schilt, 350 FS
1/Lt Robert Hedler, 350 FS
1/Lt Edward Albright, 63 FS
Lt Col David Schilling, 56 FG

Hi Chris

This won't be of much help but David Schilling was killed in a car crash in the 1950s not far from where I live - sadly one of the many USAF servicemen to have been killed on the local country roads over the years - many driving either too fast or on the wrong side of the road. The carnage continues to this day!
