Hi, Ed, get rid of the & replacement for & pls!!

Hi, Ed.

Have noticed since You switched to the new board system that the & are all substituted with the [&] (typically a Server.URLEncode type of action in the script parsing the entries)

It is quite annoying, as the links for URL's are getting 'messed up' and You have to do a manual change to get them to work again, as the ampersand is used to divide values in a querystring...

Regards and hope You will be able to fix it....

Andreas

There may be other solutions to this problem.

Let me see what can be done.

Side effect of the migration.

EDIT
I'll repeat Ed has nothing to do with this problem, I just didn't notice in the earlier tests that something was wrong. This must be changed at dbase level, in one go. Unfortunately my own knowledge of MySQL is close to ZERO, so I'm basically at a loss how to do this.

Have tried some things I found on the Internet, but it doesn't seem to work for this specific problem.

Worst case scenario, I'll have to reedit the stuff manually.

Hmmm, not sure what solved the issue, but one of my actions seems to have done it!

Either with a delay, or with an error

Spooks me a bit though...

Hi, Ruy.

Sorry for the confusion about Ed (as I ment in Editor of this board, not Ed West first name :-))

I fully understand that Ed West has nothing to do with this.

I doubt that it is a pure dbase thing though, probably a result of poor scripting somewhere in the application. (Wrong use of the equivalent to Server.URLEncode for the scripting language used on the system)

Regards,
Andreas

Call me Admin, Moderator or Ruy, but not Ed...

It was just a side effect of the migration, problem is solved - that's what matters most.

Strange device

What is this strange-looking device between the gracious, long legs of that young lady displaying an interesting ball-turret?

I wonder if a girl forum is not more interesting after all. Y'know, with all technicalities like turbo-supercharger and compression.

Ah...special account, special look!

It does manage to catch attention, does it not?!

Must admit it caught mine the first time I saw the picture and I used it as a test Avatar, the result was interesting, hence decided to make it a keeper.

:D
