Re: Photos 3-8
Hi Guys
Not many Stahltauben could have survived into the 1930's I wonder if this one, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=140094153542 is the same as the A180/14 which was built by Jeannin and which is preserved to this day?? Cheers Stig |
Re: Photos 3-8
It is a flying replica from 1930s that survived to this day as well.

Can this be a 3./LG 2 Bf 109 E? An I:e Gruppe black disc with white cross and also a black stenciled "Mickey Maus with umbrella" on the cowling (3./LG 2 emblem) visible when enlarging. These three a/c are also seen from the other side at: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=180093835658 Where the darker mottled Bf 109 E marked with double Chevron appears in the middle. |

Hi,
both photos show Messerschmitts from the I(J)/LG2, white 2 E-3 WNr.1962 from the 1(J)/LG2 and double chewron from stab I(J)/LG2 on the airfield Mont St.Ecouvez or St.Aubin in May 1940. Regards Robert |

Hi Franek
Can you expand a bit on the replica Stahltaube? Who built it and where is it now? Cheers Stig |
Re: Photos 3-8
It is not Stahltaube but Etrich Taube. One may consider it an original, as it was built by Etrich himself in 1932 with several modifications to original design. The aircraft was registered D-EFRI and flown on airshows. Now it is held in unrestored but quite complete condition by the Polish Aviation Museum at Cracow.
