February 1942, I/JG2 on the Eastern front???

Among Tony Wood's material on http://www.ww2.dk/misc/jg2loss.pdf
there is a loss of Bf-109F-2, w.n. 12838 on February 2, 1942. The loss listed as absturz in the area of "Szolpzy" (I presume Soltzy) under Luftflotte 1. Is it a mistake or elements of I/JG2 were really subordinated to Luftfl. 1 at this time? In this case is there any detailed info on I/JG2 activities on the Eastern front?

The original loss report says JG 2, but its actually a JG 51 machine per Prien JFV.
