F/Sgt.A.Wierzejski 308 Squadron 6 Dec 1944
Hi !
This pilot was killed while flying Spitfire ML170 on December 6,1944. 2nd Tactical AF (vol 2 p.351 - by C.Shores and C.Thomas) mentions it as crashed near Ghent (which is in Belgium), while other sources mention Leer in Germany. What is correct ? Many thanks and best regards from rainy Belgium. Luc |

I have got it crashed in bad weather at Melle near Ghent. The code letters were ZF-V.

Hi !
This pilot is presently buried at Lommel Polish War Graves Cemetery (Belgium), which makes it unlikely that his plane crashed in Germany. Best regards Luc |

Księga ku czci poległych lotników 1939-1945. Is that OK for you?
I would not consider internet the best place to look for info about the PAF. |

Hi Franek,
I would not consider internet the best place to look for info about the PAF. I do hope that you do not mean that we should stop looking on the 12 O'Clock High site for info ;) Alex |
