Info on Luftwaffe Pilot I acquired a small collection of WWI and WWII items from a friend who was going thru a divorce and needed money. The group is from his Grandfather that started his military career in the Prussian Cavalry and then went to fly before the end of WWI. In WWII, as far as my friend knows he was in command of a squadron or airfield in North Afrika. This is supported by a Afrika cuff title and ribbon. His name was Ernst Zoerner and died in 1955. He owned a Coffee plantation in Africa and was a VERY serious Big Game Hunter as well... Additionally, he and his wife Ursula Zoerner owned a family Chalet in Beatenberg, Switzerland. I would like to sell the collection as a group, but want to get some info for the buyer and my friend. You can view the collection at http://s187.photobucket.com/albums/x...t=IMGP0480.jpg Thanks for any help that you can provide, Dan |
