II/NJG6 Loss, 26/27.12.1944.

Hi All,
I am seeking any information on the loss of Bf 110,G4, Werk Nr 160610, I am informed that the crew was, Lt Hans Brant, Gefr Heinz Presse and Uffz Paul Baumann, their aircraft is stated in a RAF report on Uffz Baumann, as having crashed near Ibingen (Sarrebourg), I believe this location to be a German exonym for Aubange, south east Belgium, I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong.
Thanks.
Joe.

Hi Joe...
Just to say you that I am looking at my stuffs and trying hard to match your Bf 110 loss. I found a lot of RAF claims but on the nights of 24/25 and 27/28. Will keep searching. Do you have the names of the RAF crew that claimed them? What are you looking for more precisely?

According to the book on NJG 6 by Werner Kock, 2Z+AV, W.Nr. 160 610, of IV./NJG 6, crashed after being hit by flak. FF Lt Hans Brandt, BF Uffz Paul Baumann, BS Gefr Heinz Presse, all missing. No location was given.

Thanks to Adriano & George,
I am trying to find the crash site location, also I would check Baumann's EM, it is given in the report to P.W.I.B. from A.D.I.(K) as 5/Fl.Regt.32/2715, but it also states that they are not quite certain that this disk belongs to Uffz Baumann.

Joe,

the disc probably belonged to Gefr. Heinz Presse, born 19.1.1925. His disc was:

6./Fl.A.Rgt.32 -2715-

cheers,

John.

Ps. I will mail the NVM

Thanks John,
So now I have possible trace on two of the crew, all I need now is an original grave location, then it may be possible to trace their graves.
Thanks
Joe.

Hi Joe,

Just a thought. Try this website where you can trace German casualties and, if they have a record, it will also tell you exactly where they are buried.

All the best, David.
