Hpt Alfred Kindler shot down 31.7.42 - what type of aircraft and codes?

Please could anyone tell me the type of aircraft and code letters of his aircraft. I believe he was from K.G.2 and was shot down by flak over Birmingham on the night of 31.7.42.
Thanks
Bryan
