Re: For sale...

I'd love to have that in my garage. The only way I could possibly afford it would be to sell off some of the few very rare books I have, even though they are near and dear to my heart. I'm thinking about starting with the rarest of the rare on EBay, my very worn copy of The Last Of The Eagles. You know, it's about the only book that shows every varient of the Bf-109 late war models with detailed line drawings. Impossible to model the late war 109's with out it.

Re: For sale...

Book is 8-1/2 X 14 inches, 79 Pages. I don't see it listed anywhere on the web. It was published in 1977 and I believe it sold for around six bucks then. A note on the inside cover says that copies may be purchased from the author:

Re: For sale...

Well, since I am the author and publisher, I'd better chime in here. The Last Of The Eagles was self-published by me in 1976. It was based on what information on the Bf 109G-K we had then. It has long been out of print. I am working on a revision, but with no predicted publishing date.

Like many others I also contributed $ to the restoration of this Fw189. Does anyone know the story of why it is now for sale?
