Hi,

Not much from my end, both H-6s, and I believe they could have been with KG26 third quarter of 1942.

David

Nothing on 7148, but 7149:

He111H-6, 7149, I./KG 26, 08-Feb-43, Bombenwurf, Mittlelmeer, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #8)-Vol.14, Elmas, 80%

hi,
thanks a lot for your information. but how could it be that there is no information about a plane, like the first wnr.? mustnīt there be a loss or something else for every plane even when it was tranfered to a school?
regards
jim

Well there are tons of missing information on the Luftwaffe including losses. Remember, the Germans destroyed most of their Luftwaffe records at the end of the war. Even so, those that survive are not entirely all-inclusive, or accurate, especially in 1939-40. Also, we are missing almost all of the 1944 GQM records.

This is not unsual in the middle of a war, nor unique to the Luftwaffe. Many American and RAF records are incomplete or not accurate. Record-keeping in war is not a 100% priority.

Hi,
Regrettably my own database has only reached end of 1942 and I 'm still working on it!
I do know that some aircraft being used as squadron hacks didn't merit a mention in records if they were abandoned during a retreat or suffered damage.

Regards,

David
