Re: Hptm Blödern
He was the Stkp. and Hajo Herrmann may have been his pilot. Herrmann talks about this a bit in his bio as I recall.

Re: Hptm Blödern
Hi ,
Thank you all for the information Alain |
Re: Hptm Blödern
Alain
Bloedorn later became Kommodore of KG 30 and, according to Allied intelligence, geschwader members would joking complain there was no-one stupider (bloedorn) than their Kommodore. Tango Echo Dog |
Re: Hptm Blödern
The Bloedorn/Herrmann incident I mentioned above was in Norway on 10 April I think. Their's was one of several KG 4 He111s that overshot the runway at Oslo. Does anyone else have any other info?
Also, on 31 May Herrmann was shot down off Dunkirk. His crew survived. Does anyone have anymore info on that incident. (Both of the above are from his bio 'Eagle's Wings'. The Later incident is listed in the GQM reports.) |
