Heinkel 111P-4 W.Nr 2959?
 

Hi can anybody help with the following a/c from 2/KG55 said to be damaged during the summer 1940. Any confirmation or eventual fate?

Heinkel 111P-4 G1+KK W.Nr 2959 or 2969 A photo appears in Barry Rosch's excellent Luftwaffe Codes and Markings.

Hi,
Nothing extra to add for 2959 at present. 2969 suffered 60% damage after fighter attack at Ostrow on 21 july 1941 whilst with I/KG55. Can't find anything further on codes at present.

Pity theres no info available on sister a/c 2959.

Hi,
Sorry, forgot to include what I have on crew!

Fw Erich Sohn (pilot) and Fw Karl Rietz (engineer) killed. Oberfw Otto Himmel (observer) and Obergef Anton Renn (gunner) injured.

I have nothing myself to indicate staffel for this one, maybe someone could check a day-book entry?
