Grenzschutz Abschnitts Kommando 1

Hello all,

I'm looking for any information regarding planes used by Grenzschutz Abschnitts Kommando 1 [commanded by gen. Leonhard Kaupisch] during the Polish campaign in 1939.

I'm especially looking for the number of planes used between 1-4.IX.1939 as well as for the types of those planes.

Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Andrzej

This sounds more for an Army or Borderpolice/Zollgrenzschutz Unit, rather than one of the Luftwaffe. Their was socalled Grenz-Infanterie-Regimenter on the borders of the Reich.

We are now a military "Team" and it has influence on our bird WL+S16.

Hello hanshauprich,

well the 'problem' is that in Centralne Archiwum Wojskowe (Polish Central Military Archive) in Rembertów there is a diary of one of the GAK 1 officers (probably cpt. Horst von Zitzewitz). It is not a KTB of GAK 1 but something like that.

Anyway to my surprise under 4.IX we have:
The reconnaissance group from now on can use only one plane.

And this mean that there were some planes under command of GAK 1!

Dear Robert please read your PM
