Franz Brandl

Luftwaffe Officer Franz Brandl
I recently met a relation of a former Luftwaffe officer named Franz Brandl.
He trained as a glider pilot before the war and was captured at Stalingrad. He survived the forced march and having arrived at a gulag, he worked in a covered building as an engineer. This apparently saved his life, and he returned to Germany in the early 1950's.
I have seen one photo of him sitting in what appears to be a Ju 87, but that is not for certain.
He is still alive at the age of 88, but I have no other information as to his whereabouts.
I am looking for any any information concerning his Luftwaffe service ect.

Can anyone help?
