Forgive my ignorance!!!! Is the Feldpot nr a code from a letter sent? or an order? Just wanting to learn a little here as this thread has my attention as I have seen many "Feldpost" Letters for sale on E bay?

Thanks for the interesting data - seems that several pilots of II./JG 3 were trained in this unit before being posted to II./JG 3.

Feldpostnumber is a coded number for a certain German unit. It is the number of the unit somebody belongs to.
