Adamoli and Caproni Ca 101

I'm looking for information about an italian pilot whose name is Adamoli and who landed with a Caproni Ca 101 on Ivato airfield January, the 19 th ,1935. I know that after, he flew to South Africa and came back to Europe.

I have nothing on Engineer Carlo Adamoli and a Ca 101, but I know that he used a Ca 111 reg I-ACIA and together with a colleague named Bassi and an unnamed flight engineer,started on an African expedition on Oct 19th, 1934 to find berylium mines. Their trip went to Eritrea-Somaliland-Tanganyika-Mozambique-Madagascar and finally Rhodesia (Salisbury). The raid ended in the spring of 1935 after covering some 38000 miles. No mention is made of any visit to South Africa though...

I believe your sources are faulty somewhere and that this is both the man and the trip you are after

and excuse me for not having answered. I had not received e-mail from the forum to say to myself that there was an answer to my post.
My source is Mr Urbain FAUREC's book "Sous le tropique du capricorne- pour servir à l'aviation coloniale" which was published in 1937 in Tananarive Madagascar.
I have no others source(spring). If you have one of it, I indeed want to acquaint with it by private message.
I would be absent during a week

Sorry that I had to wake you up:) I figured there was something like this going on. Well my own source is Italian and comes from the researches of the the former Italian Air Britain Group led by Giorgio Apostolo.

Not that I want to detract sources from the 1930's but I think that the booklet about the Italian Capronis are very accurate indeed and that you can rely on what I have written

It is what I would call a booklet, a 36 page softcover, special issue from Aerofan, which means it was NOT part of the actual magazine they printed. No publication date listed unfortunately, but I think it is at least 20 years old by now. Very hard to tell:o

I doubt it is possible to get it from Giorgio, but possibly from a second hand market in Italy.

Yes I have it and I also hate to be a "bad sport". Since this is a booklet, it means I have to scan it page by page, which, both at home and in my office, would take an awful lot of time. Time that I simply don't pocess.

I have to draw the line somewhere, and this is it. I don't scan complete publications. Articles, no problems, since I usually cut magazines and have them stored page by page and have a beautiful scanner at work which scan both front and back page in a jiffy. Quick and easy. I have no problems scanning certain pages from booklets or books, but not complete sets. Sorry

Have you a digital camera?
It is easier and faster. You will not damage your brochure.
