W/Cdr le Page Langlois (newly appointed C.O. of 467 squadron) was shot down on his 18th sortie of his second tour on 3 March '45 whilst attacking the Dortmund-Ems canal at Ladbergen. They were hit in the bomb bay but Langlois retained control of the Lancaster long enough for his rear gunner to shoot down the Bf110 that was attacking them before baling out with at least one other crew member. I know 8 claims (for 7 BC losses) were made that night: Herren Schnaufer, Greiner, Drewes and Kraft all recording victories, but does anybody know which Bf110 was shot down: pilot/unit?
