Hello Robert,

Don't wish to upset the apple cart but were these a/c
31 = H75A-1; 199 = H75A-2
or were they
31= H75-A-4; 199 = H75A-4

Dear Robert,

Which détails do you wanna know about these two losses ?

N°31 : Sgt Edouard Preux had to pick it up for his group (GC I/5) from Chantilly to St Dizier. In flight, he had an engine failure, and was captured in the german lines.

n°199 : Lost the 18/05/1940, S/C François Morel, one of the best french pilots. During a cover of Fismes, he was shot down by a Heinkel of KG 55 at about 15h00.

I just forgot : The H-75A4 or H-751 were not used in war missions in may or june 1940. The first time, it was in July 1940 .............

Sorry !

Hello Robert,

H75A-4, It slipped my memory too.

:)

Sorry to misslead.

31 an A-1 would have been X-830 while 199 an A-2 would have been U-099. Curtis numbers I think were 12828 and 13030.

Dear Robert,

The work is done, but we must wait until the end of the year !
As i remember, Edouard Preux had just an emergency landing, on the wheels, not a belly landing.
The time of it is not written in his own book "quand l'avion se pilotait".
