Victory List for Stab I./ZG 2 during the FC

Hello,

Following my request for info on ZG26, I'm trying also to confirm that the Gesch. Kdre. of Stab ZG2, Obstlt. Friedrich Vollbracht, claimed two victories during the FC. These are believed to be on 14.5.40 and 19.5.40. Can anyone confirm this info, and/or provide a/c types and locations for these victory claims?

Thanx,

Larry:

Two well known photos of Bf110C-4, 3M+AA, W.Nr. 2116, published in "Zerstorer" by J.Vasco and P.Corwell, clearly shows at least 3 victory bars on fin of that aircraft.

Evgeny,

I'm familiar with those photos, but I have no explanation for the 3 victory markings. Perhaps scored by someone flying the plane other than the Gesh. Kde, or a victory claim denied confirmation?

or just scored by his air gunner.

Larry & Robert:

Vollbracht's claims

Quote:

Friederich Vollbracht served with Jasta 5 from August, 1918 through to September and was given credit for two victories as follows;

1 - 29th of August, 1918, a Bristol F.2b over Ligny at 10:00,
2 - 3rd of September, 1918, a Bristol F.2b at 18:40 in the vicinity of Havrincourt.
Is it possible that Vollbracht's WWI claims were on his fin during WWII? Two WWI claims, and 2 WWII claim to 4.09.1940. More I look on that photo, more I see four victory bars.
