Me 410 from KG 2 lost on 3/2/44
 

Hi,

Somebody can help me with information relating to the loss of a Me 410 A-1/U2 on 3/2/1944 in Belgium ? Names of the crew and their fate, mission, how and where it was lost, ...

Ulf Balkes's book on KG 2 gives that a Me 410 of V/KG2 was damaged either on landing or take off from Fl.Pl. Vitry in the first attack on London on 3/4-Feb.44. Crew not named were uninjured, and % damage not known.

The summary loss shows damage between 10-60% and it was without enemy action during an enemy mission.

Hi Brian & Norbert,

Thanks a lot for your help. I thought this aircraft crashed in Belgium, because on that day there was an Uffz. Horst Gebhardt buried at Brussels-Evere.
