Hi Alain,

Dover area (the Channel) is almost probably the one where P/O Zumbach b/o and was rescued. You know that Poperinge is about 30km inland of Belgium...
There is four photographs of P7962 known to me. This Spitfire was attacked twice on 9/5/41. Piloted by P/O Gladych was attacked by two Hurricanes during morning patrol, and stricked by 109s in the afternoon.

Regards,
Michal

I guess I know where you know them from. There are several more, which didn't make it to the book. Oddly, there are also quite a number of known photos of P7926 (a colour one is also featured in the same book).
