Update to loss record pages - what do you think Hi. Thanks to Franek giving me a kick in the behind I have finished the long overdue photographic archive on my site, and the system for linking them to specific aircraft and incidents. Please see the following page for an idea of what the result can look like: http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_pub...?lossid=118043 Regards, Andreas B |

Re: Update to loss record pages - what do you think Evening Andreas, I think the photo archive link on your site looks superb! Very well done. Have you any further information as to subscription details, for us interested parties? Best regs, Steve. |

Re: Update to loss record pages - what do you think Andreas, First, I want to compliment you on your superb site. The addition of photos supporting some of the losses listed is a fine idea. The sample loss you provided is listed as Bf 109 G-6/U4, WNr. 441139, Gelb 7+. Am I incorrect in noticing that the aircraft illustrated appears to feature the curved engine bearer and refined cowling of an “AS” powered aircraft? Again, thanks for your great work. Re: Update to loss record pages - what do you think As your database driven approach to WW2 research was - in another scale though - the inspiration for my own website after the presentation in Karup, 2006. I am still very impressed with the work! Could it be an idea to be able to search the other way around, e.g. a picture gallery. If often get the impression, that people has an idea of a photo they once saw, and are looking for the aircraft details. That must be the case for you and the users of www.ahs.no as well? Mikkel |
