Zerstorer Gruppe: A History of V./(Z)Lg 1-I./Njg 3 1939-1941
( by Ludwig von Eimannsberger )
I'm interested in opinions of this book - the Schiffer English edition in particular. Photo quality in particular. |
Re: Zerstorer Gruppe: A History of V./(Z)Lg 1-I./Njg 3 1939-1941
Hello,
Photo quality is excellent, and well-covers the unit, particularly in 1940. Lots of stories of losses and details of operations from surviving veterans. Complete appendics of personnel and missions flown. Several hundred photos. Well worth the money for anyone interested in the subject. Ludwig von Eimannsberger, the author, is a nephew of the last CO of the unit, killed in England on 27.9.40. We all wish all Luftwaffe units were so painstakingly and thoroughly researched. Regards, |

If you are interested in the Bf 110 in 1940, this is a must-buy book. I echo everything that Larry says. Excellent information and excellent range of photos.
