GC1 / Canadian squadron september 1942

Hi,

In middle East in September 1942 Le Groupe de chasse n°1 « Alsace » exchanges his Hawker Hurricane up to a Canadian squadron

Does anybody know the number of this squadron ?

Salut Bertrand,

It should be the 417 Sqn. On 6th September it re-assembled as fighter Squadron after arriva in Egypt in June. Canadians received some Hurricane IIB and IICs.
