Re: Bohimir Fürst
Bohumír Fürst was credited with 1 air victory during Battle of France and 4 victories when he served in UK.
Fürst was Flying Instructor in pre-war Czechoslovak Air Force and flew approximately 1600 flying hours before WW2.
In France he served from May 10 until May 17 1940 in Patrouille DAT Chateaudon (EAA 301), from May 18 until June 21 1940 in GC II/2.
He is credited with victory over Hs 126 in Area Laon-Soissons at 17.15 o´clock on May 19 1940. Hs 126 of 2.(H)/23 was shot down by Bellecourt, Lt. Hundt injured.
Fürst was shot down on May 21 1940 probably by Bf 109s of III./JG 53 in MS-406 No. 390 nearby chateau Verneuil-en-Halatte. Shortly before being forced landed he was credited together with Cne Baudoin de Callonne and Adj Maurice Pollono with probably victory over Do 17. In fact German Bomber of III./KG 2 was only slightly damaged (5 %) with one crew heavily injured (Ofw. A. Baatz) and safely landed in base.
