I'd say yes on the basis that the Enigma machine's keyboard didn't include a "ß" (Esszett) or any letters with umlauts (ä, ö, ü) so the messages subsitute ss, ae, oe and ue for these characters.
So that's something else I must add to my guide to Ultra. |
