Re: Mystery Airfield Germany August 24, 1944

Well, not exactly. Comparing sizes between that nearest large house (the one there today is apx. 30 m wide by using ruler tool in Google Earth Maps) and these "objects", they are about half that long, some slightly shorter.

Ju 88 ? fuselages (my favourity of course) were apx 13,60 nose to tail post but shape seems not quite correct but on some. These were what then? Different types or perhaps one piece fighter wings.. Fw 190īs ? All lying flat in some rows (judging by shadows?) but other rows also having fuselages. Then further right there are more "cigar-shaped" objects.

Airfield is 100% Zwickau but area were these "objects" were stored is all paved now and has houses too, so searching there now, there are likely no traces left .... (B/W image shows north as down and to the right).

Attached is screenshot from Google showing area where objects were stored. Airfield and resident gliders in left half of image. The gliders visible have about 17 m wingspans...
