Well, let's keep a cool head, Roland. Yes, they were a bit rash on the last part of the recovery, but look at the global feat they managed: to pluck from the seabed a Bf 109 resting on its nose since 67 years WITH its engine is no small feat!
I for one would celebrate this fact. The breaking of the tail is kind of a minor collateral damage as all the pieces are still around; no comparison thus with the dramatic Fw 200 break-up some years ago...
And to be honest: it is much easier to recover alamannic wooden coffins then tons of thoroughly eaten up aluminum and metal...
