Munzert, Hermann Lt. 20 kills total. 8/JG-53 (6/40), 9/JG-53 (12/41; 4/42 Gela), Stfkpt 2/JG-53 (7/42), JG-3Bf 109E, Bf 109F-4 (Trop) (4/42)DK-G, EP, EK 1 & 2, Wound Badge, Fighter Operational ClaspWIA 31 January, 1943; DOW 6 February, 1943 (Magnus). His first victory, a Bloch 152 west of Compiegne, 5 June, 1940. A Soviet DB-3 on 14 August, 1941. An unnamed Soviet AC on 24 August, 1941. Two more unnamed Soviet victories on 29 August, 1941 (Prien). A Beaufort on 13 December, 1941. Scored his 14th victory, a Hurricane over Malta on 1 March, 1942. A Hurricane of RAF No. 80 Sq. between El Adem and Bir Hacheim on 29 May, 1942. A Wellington at Marsa Matruh on 31 July, 1942. A Beaufighter northeast of Sidi Barrani on 15 August, 1942. A P-40 of SAAF No. 4 Sq. on 13 October, 1942. On 11 November, 1942, he downed a Beaufort 120 km north northeast of Tobruk. Another victory, a Spitfire 30 km west of Djedida N. Africa on 25 November, 1942.
