I just cannot believe that this is Rodel's machine: first up, it isn't a II Gruppe JG27 plane (no II Gruppe bar or customary insignia), secondly it's a Bf109F so it's too early to be his Geschwader Kommodore's machine and lastly the dating of the picture confirms that it's not Sicily and therfore again not his Kommodore aircraft.
