I started looking at my reference books.It seems that it was probably a JG-77 Bf-109. The funny thing was that on Nov 3,1942 Lt. Edgard Berres, a well know ace, was shot down and survived after a parachute landing. No mention of a collision.
However, on Nov. 2,1942, another JG-77 ace,Uffz Horst Schlick, had a collision with a P-40! He survived after a parachute landing.
By the way, in the book "JG-77 Vol 3", the narrative of Horst Schlick mentions that Lt. Berres bailed out on the same day,NOT Nov. 3,1942. Another mystery.
