Hi .. searching for information regarding possible shoot down of a Bf109 onto the Isle of Wight ( southern England) in 1940 by 'F/Sgt Clark. The person who contacted me regarding this apparently has a small piece of metal he believes to be from the propellor of this aircraft which has.... 'Piece of airscrew ME109 shot down Isle of Wight 1940'', inscribed on it with 'F/Sgt Clark RAF' inscribed on the reverse.

My records show several 109's down on the island that year but do not indictae the pilot credited with the shoot down in all instances..

Any help would be much appreciated on this as would any other info on F/Sgt Clark.
