On the morning of July 12, 1944 a Ju-88A-17 III/KG77, 3Z + AT, made an emergency landing. It seems that the plane was damaged when he attacked the convoy UGS46 off the Algerian coast. The crew (Uffz. Werner Achilles, Uffz. Wilhelm Specks, Fw Gerhard Scheer and Uffz. Willi Walter) seem to have been taken to Madrid to be repatriated.
