Who were the Jagdflieger?

A 95th Bomb Group crew reported on the 7 Oct 1943 Mission to La Bourget that this was the first mission that the crew of B-17 #230817 saw JG26 painted with the markings of a Top Hat and a Cane emblem from 8./JG 26 attack them.

I know that the “Zylinderhut” insignia was adopted by a number of pilots who had seen service with Jagdgruppe J/88 “Condor Legion” in the Spanish Civil War notably Gotthard Handrick and another were Herwig Knüppel both flying with JG 26 “Schlageter”.

My question is:

Who were the pilot or pilots attacking the 95th on the 7 Oct 1943 mission to La Bourget and had their fighter/fighters painted with the “Zylinderhut and Cane insignia ?

Does anyone know of some more pilots that had that insignia painted on their fighters from another Jagdgeschwader?

Regards
