Yes, you're quite right. I've just reacted on AZ-H Cherbourg without looking through these pictures too much.
This is Spitfire Vb AD203 AZ-H - 234 Sqn, hit by flak near Cherbourg and force-landed at lle Pelee on 20.10.41, According to FCL vol.1 the pilot, Sgt Fox listed as MIA, however, Sgt Peter Hutton Fox no.754399 was captured. Numeral 2, part of RAF serial, is clearly visible on one of the photos just next to the squadron code
