Re: JU88 Crashed on 20 july 1944 east Toulouse
At this time factories in the area (from memory at Blagnac and Pau) were used to repair Ju 88s, and I believe that some of the reported bombings of Resistance held areas were done by such aircraft rather than by aircraft of ZG 1.
I remember that at some date in the summer 1944 the camp of the "Maquis de la Montagne Noire" was bombed by German aircraft in the area you said one bomber was shot down, but I don't remember reading of an aircraft lost in these circumstances.
My best advice for Gilles: if you have the time, go to the library of Odyssud at Blagnac and check the history books: there are (or rather were, I hope it is still true) tens of books about the Resistance in the area, including extensive histories of two major formations, Corps Franc Pommies and "Maquis de la Montagne Noire".
Best regards
Laurent
