Re: Ju-87B WNr.0878324

Likely "Zeichn." (Drawing) number on this was 87.28 (rather than 8.728)

This then translates "Undercarriage". These having "Assembly numbers" 20 to 29 & 200 to 299 (Tail-Skid or Wheel, Brake Assemby, Floats, Float frame etc. according to RLM General Parts Assemblys System numbering). Of course the Ju 87 did not have floats or any brake on tailwheel! Thus this means undercarrage (main part) made by (JFM?) and stamped by "J" (Junkers) or is this "3"? But as Serie: 38710.07/3, this likely comes from tail-wheel assembly (attached or belonging to fuselage i.e. "10" ?) but this might be wrong interpretation as letters four and five should (often did) harmony with third (first after dot) letter in Zeichn. numbers but this has this letter "one lower" each; according to this them "fuselage halves" should have had numbers 38700.xx/xx and 38701.xx/x but as this number has no dot in-between I am uncertain about this (perhaps the dot was omitted?) Despite this has one month earlier (F.M. 4.37 - i.e. April 1937) than other plate, this might still be from Ju 87A-1 W.Nr. apx 0071 ~ 0090 - Could even come from same plane (or spare part). I have notes of parts made in many differnt months but used on same plane, but generally they lie close by each other, one or two at most (generally). Great collection of info you are providing on early Ju 87 Stu.Ka. production. Thanks!
