Sgt A.H.Deacon of 85 Squadron claimed one Me109E destroyed in this combat, while Sgt L.A.Crozier (Hurricane I N2389) of 85 Squadron was shot down and baled out with burns. According to both "Twelve Days in May" by Brian Cull, Bruce Lander and Heinrich Weiss and "The Battle of France Then and Now" by Peter Cornwell, 5./JG 2 listed as German unit involved
