Hmmm, maybe it´s better to say "rollover", especially when you talk of an aircraft.
Flipped over means "umdrehen" and in my opinion that word is really too kind for such an accident, right ? ;o)

But like Sylvester Stadler said before - for correct translation you must see the word in context.
