Cheers, Horst
I was at Aces High last Sunday, and they are saying that Walter is due to attend on the weekend of 20th/21st of November along with Col Joe Peterburs LM DFC who on the 10th April, 1945 shot down a Luftwaffe Me 262 jet fighter which was being flown by Walter Schuck.

Ironically later that day Joe was himself shot down by enemy ground fire. After baling out he was captured but managed to escape and remarkably joined up with a Russian tank unit, fighting with them for the rest of the war. He also flew combat tours in Korea and Vietnam and retired in 1972 after almost 37 years of active duty.

Also in attendance will be Dame Vera Lynn. Hopefully all is well and he will be there, as whilst flying on the Arctic Front Walter and other pilots would risk serious disciplinary action by tuning in to the BBC, just to listen to Vera Lynn. At this event Walter will fulfil a life long ambition by meeting Dame Vera for the first time.
