It must have been easy for an ace as Herbert Rollwage to shot such a plane as a L4 down, with 13 and 20mm shells!

I'll try with some contacts in the 79th DIUS;

Not totaly impossible that a french unit would have been concerned? (the area was "liberated" by the french 2nd DB (with US help!) just 2 days before, and the crash presumed localisation still was at front line.
